Our Operations

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) is a multifaceted operation. Research and education are integrated parts of the operation, and there is ongoing patient-centered psychiatric research conducted by several professional groups. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry provides specialized psychiatric health care to individuals aged 0 – 18 years in Uppsala County, with outpatient clinics currently in Uppsala and Enköping. Our acute ward, emergency department, and eating disorder clinic are located at Akademiska sjukhuset in the Psychiatry House.

Your Mission

You will serve in child and adolescent psychiatric clinics, emergency departments, and acute wards, as well as in various units to achieve competency goals according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations. Training according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and psychotherapy training with a focus on CBT.

Primary on-call duty is included in the position and is shared between the child and adolescent psychiatric emergency department and the adult psychiatric emergency department.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician (license must be attached to the application). To be eligible, a Swedish medical license is required. Proficiency in Swedish at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. If you have experience in child and adolescent psychiatry and/or adult psychiatry and an interest/experience in research and/or education, this is an advantage. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

At the same time, you are accommodating in your interactions with both colleagues and patients. We Offer

We offer you a permanent full-time position. A probationary period may apply. Start date by agreement. Before hiring, a background check from the Misconduct and Criminal Records Register will be requested. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the selection process.
